Movement Membranes, Construction Boards & Wet Systems

With the introduction of larger tiles there is now much more need for movement membranes or construction boards be used and there are many different ones on the market, we have all the technical data and advice so that you can choose the correct one for the job. Wet rooms have become increasingly popular and we can provide waterproof boards, neoprene tape, tanking, pre-formed waterproofed niches and pre-formed waterproof shower trays including various drain options.



Terms and Conditions

  1. TITLE OF GOODS All risk in the goods shall pass to the customer on delivery but the goods shall remain the property of Tiles of Wisdom Ltd until paid for in full by the customer. A. If the customer sells or otherwise disposes of the goods before paying for them, he shall hold the proceeds of the sale on trust for Tiles of Wisdom Ltd. B. If the customer ceases trading for any reason either through the appointment of a receiver or the issuing of a winding up order, or through going into voluntary liquidation, he shall place the goods at the disposal of Tiles of Wisdom Ltd who shall be entitled to enter the customers premises in order to remove the goods concerned.
  2. RETURNS POLICY.
    Special orders goods are non-returnable. Goods can only be returned if agreed by our supplier and with our valid sales receipt and proof of payment. Tiles can only be returned in full boxes within two weeks of order or delivery. Goods must be returned in perfect condition and a 30% handling charge will be levied. There may be a carriage charge for returning goods.
  3. DELIVERIES, BREAKAGES AND SHORTAGES. Deliveries will be to Kerb Side only and there must be good access, parking and solid surfaces. Deliveries are subject to a charge depending on the value of order and location and may incur a fuel surcharge. Someone able and suitable must be available to assist and sign for all collections or deliveries. All deliveries must be thoroughly checked and any signs of damage must be noted when signing and photographed and reported within 24 hours of delivery, any claims for shortages will only be investigated if reported within 24 hours of collection or delivery and may not be entertained if the delivery has been signed for. Companies may not accept unchecked etc. We cannot give delivery times and delivery hours are normally between 8am-6pm. Failure of delivery may incur a re-delivery charge. All Foreign Orders must accept delivery within 24 hours of notification that the tiles are in the UK or else we will have to charge for storage per pallet per week. We do not take any responsibility for deliveries left outside. “Force Majeure” No refund will be given for non delivery due to factors beyond the supplier’s control.
  4. SHADE VARIATION/CRAZING/CRACKLE GLAZES/FAULTS/SAMPLES/SUITABILITY All tiles are subject to shade variation and may differ from samples and displays, tiles from different boxes should be mixed. Customers must order the correct quantity for their requirement, as the company cannot guarantee to match shades of previous orders. Any complaint relating to shade variation/crazing/faults or order errors must be notified before tiles are fixed – no subsequent claims for labour can be entertained. Fixing guides or manufacturers recommendations should be referred to in order to ensure suitability of tiles for different areas.
  5. HAND MADE OR HAND PAINTED TILES. Customers are advised that certain hand made or hand painted products are extremely “rustic” by design and the surface, size and colour may vary substantially even within the same batch, or from samples & displays. Some tiles may have slight imperfections. There is a no returns policy for hand made or hand painted tiles.
  6. NATURAL STONE. As stone is a natural product it may vary greatly from samples and displays, some will be prone to damage in shipment and most require maintenance. Please expect 10% damage plus at least 10% wastage per order and ensure that you order the correct quantity. Please note no match can be guaranteed for subsequent orders. Once a delivery has been signed for no subsequent claims will be entertained. There is a no returns policy for stone.
  7. CUSTOMER ORDERS. Orders require a minimum of 50% deposit, with the balance due on collection/delivery. Goods must be collected on the day of notification that the order is available. Special orders must be paid in full on order and cannot be refunded once ordered. It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure they have the correct tiles. No claim will be considered once tiles have been fixed.
  8. ADHESIVES/GROUTS/SEALERS/FIXING GUIDES ETC . We cannot guarantee any tiles can be fixed brickbond. It is the responsibility of the tiler to ensure he follows fixing guides and manufacturers recommendations and uses the correct products and do a test area if necessary. We cannot take any responsibility for damage caused by the incorrect products being used or the correct sealers not being used.
  9. CLAIMS.
    No claim will be considered once tiles have been fixed.
  10. PRICE. All prices are subject to alteration without notice and are subject to Value Added Tax.
  11. ACCOUNTS. All accounts are subject to our standard terms and conditions and 30 days settlements providing you are within the credit limit. If you exceed these terms your account will automatically be put on hold and no orders will be processed.
  12. CUSTOMER MEASUREMENT/CALCULATION SERVICE. We can offer assistance in estimating quantities but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy and recommend all calculations are checked before ordering and as we are unable to take responsibility for any under or over estimations
